Bacteriostatic Water for Injection is a sterile, non-pyrogenic (does not cause fever) preparation of water designed exclusively for diluting or dissolving drugs and peptides.

Key Characteristics:

• • The Preservative Advantage: Unlike standard sterile water, it contains 0.9% benzyl alcohol. This added compound acts as an antimicrobial agent, halting the growth of bacteria.

  • Multi-Dose Capability: Because the preservative keeps the solution sterile after entry, a single vial can be safely pierced with a needle multiple times over a period of up to 28 days.

  • Appearance: It is a completely clear, colorless, and odorless liquid.

Main Use:

It serves as the ideal solvent to reconstitute lyophilized powders (freeze-dried peptides or medications). Once injected into a peptide vial, it dissolves the powder into a liquid solution that is ready for subcutaneous or intramuscular administration.
